American Idol

As a singer, who has had private lessons, I find myself wondering why American Idol is still on the air. It seems that they get rid of some of the best talent early on...but lately the talent has been mediocre at best. The two who should be in the final are Paige and big Mike...instead we have Crystal and Lee. Out of the two Lee is the better choice. I have no idea how Crystal made it this far. She has no versatility in her voice. She tries to hard and she has been doing the same blaze stuff all season.

What American Idol needs to do is make it to where the judges make the decision until the best 2 are left at the end. America has no right to decide. Lately they have made poor choices such as: Taylor Hicks, Fantasia,whoever won last season - can't even remember his name. If this was a real contest or competition I would be on it in a heart beat, but no one seems to vote on pure talent. They seem to vote on looks...not a good criteria. It's a talent competition people! Now Simon is leaving so more crappy talent will get into the show. Unless they totally revamp this show it is going to wither. I just could not stand to stay quiet on this topic any longer. I had to voice my opinion, based on my expertise. I have been a  singer my whole life and I wouldn't go on this show because it isn't based on real talent.

I have ranted enough on this topic and now I will move on.
