Sassy always finds something new in the cereal aisle.  She's always liked Rice Krispies, so these Jumbo Krispies looked intriguing.

From the box: "Jumbo multi-grain Krispies, 3X bigger than regular Rice Krispies"

These were really disappointing.  They are nothing like Rice Krispies, which are puffed rice.  Jumbo Krispies are made with rice flour, sugar, whole wheat flour, yellow corn meal, oat fiber and some other things.  I can definitely taste the corn meal, a stronger flavor than any of the other main ingredients.  These are dense, not light like Rice Krispies.  It tastes like high fiber cereal, it does have 3g of fiber per 1 cup serving.

An 11.2 ounce box regular price $3.85, on sale for $2.50.  I predict these are not going to be in production for very long.

On a scale of one to ten, Sassy awards Kellog's Jumbo Krispies Cereal a 1.  I find it incredible that they could put these in a category with Rice Krispies and put Snap, Crackle and Pop on the packaging.  What a joke.

years ago they had one called triples that was like giant rice krispies I loved them but these are not very good at all

I don't drink milk,so most cereal is out for me. These sound totally disgusting, like breakfast gnocci. Yuck!

wow. a 1? i just found out that the fresh grocer we frequent sells my all time fave cereal....kellogg's honey smacks. yay! i bought a HUGE box yesterday, no milk required.

They are multigrain, so I'd expect them to taste like multigrain....I have no interest in big Krispies, as I like little ones...

I don't want milk soaked corn bread. People eat it that way here sometimes, but not me. I sure don't want it in my cereal. Glad you did a review on this.
