From the movies, you'd never guess that Robert Pattinson is British. It slips my mind all the time because he does so well sounding American in the films. In the following video snippet, from the show, a curious Oprah tries to find out how R-Patz does such a great job with his accent.
"How do they teach you to speak American?" the talk show host asked.
"Well, Kristen thinks I do the most terrible American accent," Rob replied laughing, while looking at his co-star/girlfriend. K-Stew quickly denied it, but mentioned he uses the occassional un-American word, which she does point out to him.
Rob continued, "I grew up watching American movies and stuff..also, I used to want to be a rapper when I was 14."
Robert Pattinson a rapper?? I can't quite picture it. But with R-Patz, he at least already has a stage name for it. And who knows...the idea of him being a rapper might not be that far off. Apparently 50 Cent's a fan!
