Mindful Poetry Contest posts 22
Atticus * 23 poems
One would think that the winner for the most poems submitted would be Atticus *, but because he submitted twice on one day and that's in opposition to the rules, his total is docked by 2 poems as neither poem was accepted in the tally. That means that both Elsie Duggan and Janice F. are the winners of the most poems submitted for the contest. They submitted every single day! For this, they will receive an icon that they can pick up at Mindful Poetry's home page and post it on one of their poems or however they wish.
I have chosen Atticus* as Mindful Poetry Laureate. He definitely deserves it. Please congratulate him over on this poem: Sucker - a pantoum, one of my favorites. I will also workshop one of his poems and the process will be posted, open for discussion. His choice of poem, however.
I feel this contest was hugely successful and invite you all to join us at Mindful Poetry. A shorter, week-long contest will be held on our birthday, which is September 2nd when we turn two years old.

You definitely had/have good stuff, which is why you were awarded Poem-of-the-Day--twice! :-)
Congratulations Janice and Elsie!
~Let me say that I thought the quality of all the poetry submitted was outstanding. Susan doled out some pretty challenging prompts and they were well met. Congratulations to everyone who played along! Thank you for all your finely crafted poetry. There were so many that greatly impressed me.
But most of all, thank you Susan. You and Mindful Poetry have taught me so much. I am indeed grateful.
:-)
I had a blast.
I read *every* single poem; didn't feel it onerous, but an honor.
Let me know which poem you'd like workshopped if you choose to take me up on the offer.
It's not critique, but a pooling of ideas and listening to the author, knowing that s/he knows best.
Workshopping works best on a piece that gives you unrest, you know, you'd like it to be different, but are not sure how to revise it.
Featured in the Triple Name Club.
Congratulations to all of you, whether you wrote 1 or 23.
If you go to the Poem-of-the-Day post, you'll see all the forms used. And you can see a sample of the form by following the link for each day.
