I have two book reviews to share today. One is the short but creepy chiller by Rick Reed with the funny-sounding name: "Sluggo Snares a Vampire." Sluggo is an overweight computer nerd whose online personality is everything he's not...like the guy in the Brad Paisley song. The second book I polished off this week was Jude in Chains by K. Z. Snow. I loved this one. In it, Russian-American reporter Misha Tzerko goes undercover at a "reparative therapy" camp, one that offers to turn gay men straight. Misha can't stop thinking about Jude, chained up by his family's expectations and by a past abusive relationship. This one won't suit everyone's tastes, but it's romantic, thought-provoking, and triumphant.
