The kids had a half day of school today so we went to a matinee of Iron Man 2. I thought the first Iron Man was one of the best movies of last year, but I was not that impressed with this one.
I will say it has a lot of science in it and not that much action. Actually there is one good action scene towards the beginning and then it is very slow until like the last half hour.
My 6 year old who is usually pretty good at movies was bored to death and started acting up. There was not that much going on to keep him stimulated, until towards the end.
It's not a terrible movie just not as good as the first one. I don't recommend bringing younger kids as there is not enough going on visually that will keep them entertained.
I think Micky Rourke could have been more utilized. On the bright side for the guys Scarlett JoHanon and Gwyneth Paltrow walk around in tight outfits through the movie. I actually think Scarlett had one of the best parts in the movie.
Robert Downey Jr. did a good job I think it was more of a script issue.
