Did Britney Spears miss the call by hanging up on the smash Lady GaGa hit "Telephone"?

According to Perez Hilton that's just the latest bad call miz Spears has made in a year that has seen her popularity dry up after a lackluster "Circus" act and flattening album sales.

The rumor is that Lady GaGa penned the tune for Britney and her comeback album but it died in the demo mode. As a result, Lady G went on to record the tune with Beyonce and it's been a giagantic smash around the globe, feeding the hype around GaGa's world tour and making her return to the States one of the most anticipated tickets of the season.

You have to listen for yourself to decide if it's Britney singing. Sure sounds like it to me. The tune has all the earmarks of a hit to my ears with techno effects, a catchy tune, clever lyrics and a classical music base. What's not to love?

I heard this played on the radio this morning and the DJ warned that it is only a demo that Britney did. I still like it. This would still be a big hit if she did it instead of Lady Gaga. In my opinion, Britney can do no wrong.
