Yesterday, I took a walk because it was nearly 80 degrees and so sunny. As I was walking around my neighborhood, I noticed that 4 people had had something done in the front of their house with the cement - a new walkway.
There are two kinds of houses in our development - one that has the garage on the side and a walk way that goes through the front of the house and one that has the garage in the front and a small walk way from the driveway to the house. It goes on the side more.
My husband and I have been arguing about this for a long time. I feel like I should enter it on The Marriage Ref. Our house is the one with the front garage. When we had the house built 10 years ago, we had them put in a temporary walk way. Just 4 pieces of cement with a bit of grass in between.
After 10 years we now have weeds in between the pieces of cement. My husband is a "out of the box" kind of thinker. I am not. He wants to change the front of the house and put a walk way from our door down the middle of the grass, altho' we have 2 trees that block that from happening. I want to just re-do the walk way that we have and maybe make it a bit wider, giving more space for growing stuff. I would like smaller stones or something like that. He always complains that the lilac bush grows over the side of the patch right there and gets in the way when walking down the walk way.
Yes, I agree, it does. So, I just want to move the walk way about 3-4 inches in the opposite direction and have someone come and make a wider walk way starting a bit further away so that when the bush grows, it doesn't grow over the walk way and make it difficult to walk to the house. If we make the walk way down the center of the property, it will be parallel to the driveway and look kind of funny.
Who do you think is right? Me or my husband? Just doing a small survey.
