Hi everyone
I'm hosting a Kentucky Derby party late this afternoon (about 4:30 or so) and I have barbeque pork sandwiches on the menu.
I was going to put the pork roast (which is quite large) in the crockpot about 7 this morning and let it cook all day on low.
Well, the POWER WENT OUT for several hours this morning. We just got it back about a half hour ago. I put the roast in the crock pot on HIGH as soon as the power went on (about 9:55 AM).
Will it have enough time to cook (6 1/2 hours on HIGH) or should I transfer it to the oven?
I thought I might check the progress around 1:30 and then make my decision.
Also, I have one of those ceramic liners for my crock pot. Would it be possible to put that in the oven or will it hurt it somehow?
Anybody have a clue?
Thanks!!!!

good luck and have a great time!
I just cooked a whole pork loin for about 4 hours on high in my slow cooker. I never use the low setting unless I am doing something that might burn easily like a cheese dip.
