Bangles. Love the jangly, sunny, 60's pop music they did/do. Especially the non-Susannah Hoffs songs. Their cover of September Gurls is great. Seeing them Thursday night at the Fine Line.

Wall of Voodoo, "Mexican Radio"...I'm not usually a fan of syth-pop. This LA band was certainly an exception, and I don't even feel much guilt!

also, props them for their one of a kind cover of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire"

I dig Wall of Voodoo as well, I just never thought of them as a guilty pleasure, in my mind they have the same cred as the Plimsouls or Devo as a bands that pop hits but stayed true to their sound despite the hit.

I think my 80's list goes on forever. Here are some of my favs : Go West, Belouis Some, Blow Monkeys, China Crisis, Tears For Fears, Talk Talk, The Fixx, Pet Shop Boys...........
