I'm sure that I'm not the first or the last person to say that I'm a fan of Anthony Bourdain.
For those who are unfamiliar with him, Anthony Bourdain is the chef-at-large of Brasserie Les Halles, in New York and is also the host of the popular television travel series No Reservations on The Travel Channel. He's also the author of a book called Kitchen Confidential.
Today's Chicago Tribune featured a cover story about Bourdain in light of his sold-out appearance at The Chicago Theatre this weekend.
I'm a big fan of Anthony's show because he travels all over the world and his personality is more dynamic and interesting than some of the other tv travel and/or food show hosts out there, like Rick Steves or Burt Wolf.
Bourdain says what he thinks and doesn't apologize for it. He has a great sense of humor and I guarantee that if you watch just one episode of his show...you'll learn at least on thing that you didn't know beforehand and be entertained at the same time.Â
Although I live in the Chicago suburbs, I didn't attend this event because the $43-$78 ticket price was a little too expensive for my taste...forgive the pun.
If I want to listen to Bourdain wax poetic about food, television, music, or pretty much anything else I'll just tune in to The Travel Channel Mondays at 10pm/9c.
