CVS money making shopping trip 4/19/2010

CVS got me to buy more than I planned.  I had a $4/20 and was planning to get to $20, then the scanner presented me with a $5/40. Well, I just had to use them both.  See how I got both these transactions with my Gather earned gift card and came home with more extra bucks than Gift Card and extra buck amount I used.

Have you been to CVS lately?  Silly question for some of you, I know.  What good deal did you get? Do you blog about your shopping? Can you share your link with us?

Those are great deals! Right now I don't do much CVS shopping because it just doesn't make much sense. We're about 30 miles away from the nearest one, and since my husband works 20 miles from home in that direction, it makes a lot more sense for him to go there when he has other things he needs from Minot anyway. I make a list for him, so he usually gets the advertised deals, but that way I can't watch out for clearance and sales that aren't advertised. He's deploying in a few weeks, though, so then I'll definitely be looking for clearance and specials at CVS. :)

Oh, I am sorry and proud and thankful all at the same time to hear of his deployment. I appreciate our service personal and the freedoms they protect. Thanks to you and your husband for this sacrifice.

I went earlier today to get the Puffs from last week. I got 6 x $0.99 puffs = $5.94 - $3.50 in coupons = $2.44

I haven't been in a couple weeks...and the only reason I went then is because my ECB were expiring, so I just got some Huggies that gave ECB back. I haven't done any serious CVSing in a long time, since I quit work and don't drive by it. I do send my husband occasionally, to keep my ECB going, but I need to get back into it.

It isn't what it used to be either. We used to get like $100 a week free and now there are just not as many ecb deals or as good of ones--also more limits than there used to be. But I am not complaining, just analyzing, I love CVS!

I've noticed the difference in the ECB deals just since I've started, but like you said, can't complain!

You did a awesome job of savings and stocking up. As I am learning cvsing , I am trying to teach my teenager to stock up on stuff he needs , such as shaving cream, toothpaste, deo, you know guy stuff and hopefully some snacks or drinks.
