Pamela Anderson sure has had her fair share of woes, from the Internet sex video to the current tax scandal, but the catty comments spreading around the Internet were just rumors. Celeb magazines like US reported that she wanted to go braless during her dance routines.
The article quoted an unnamed insider as saying "They live in fear of a Janet Jackson wardrobe malfuncton, but Anderson is fighting them every step of the way."
Anderson told Fox News (14 April 2010), "I do wear underwear! I don't think anyone has ever said anything to me. They make the costumes. I don't have any say in them."
Keep that in mind. The show's designer makes the costumes and if you've seen open competition, many competitors wear very little for the sexier numbers such as salsa or samba. But it all is a matter of wearing proper foundation garments for dancing and while starlets no longer get studio guidance on this one (Ask Emma Watson), DWTS obviously pays attention to this detail despite past wardrobe malfunctions.
That is the bad aspect of the Internet: It's great for gossip. How many fill-in-the-blank personality has been declared dead by an Internet rumor that no credible news source has reported?
Why does Anderson bring out the worst in people?
Now the other issue isn't a rumor. The California State government has reported she owes $493,144 in personal income tax debt according to an AP report. Anderson isn't alone. About 250 people owe more than $100,000 in back taxes.
Anderson used Twitter to address her tax problems: "I’m not trying to avoid any tax obligation. Certain events occurred, outside of my control which caused this temporary but embarrassing situation. All of my tax obligations will be resolved in the very near future."
