What's your odometer reading?
I have a 1992 Chevy Cavalier that has 114,000 miles on it. That's the real mileage. If you divide 114,000 miles by 18 years, it means that my car has only been driven about 6300 miles per year.
In its young years, my car belonged to my Dad, and he and Mom didn't do that much traveling.
They gave it to me in 1997, and the car made one TX to FL trip and one TX to MI. Since coming to OH, it made one trip to TN.
But I realized the other day that I have put very few miles on this car since I moved to Cincinnati.
The last time I tried working was in 2005. I distinctly remember when the car turned to 100,000 miles. It was December, and cold and snowing. The heater had quit working and I was having a hard time getting home. If the trip hadn't been such a difficult one, I probably would not have remembered when the odometer hit 100,000.
So, since December of 2005, I have only put 14,000 miles on my car, or about 3100 miles per year!
Hubby's car has just over 100,000 miles on it, at 5 years of age....or 20,000 per year.
How about your wheels? How many miles do you drive per year?
