Our new truck..

Well we started oout house hunting for a few months and that went downhill quickly so since my husbands truck started frequently breaking down we thought it would be best to look for a new truck for him. We spent a few weeks planning how we would afford this and all the pros and cons. We finally came to the conclusion it might be bets to get something new rather than used so we could get the rebates.

We ended up with a Black 4 door Quad Cab Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with a Hemi

My goodness we LOVE our new truck! It has bench seat so the whole family can fit.. Its so fun to us cause we have neither one ever had anything so nice and new!

The dealership ended up giving us back $4550 in rebates which paid off my van payment and paid for tag title and tax. So we still only have 1 vehicle payment but it equals what we would have paid had we got a used vehicle and not paid off van.

My husband took it in and had all windows tinted, remote start and an alarm put on it cause hes spoiled rotten ;) And we had to add the Fox Racing logo so we could spot the truck easier cause since we have got this.. we see several of hem that are similar ;)

We have a quad cab too, Ford this time. We LOVE them! So much room and so easy to get in and out of!

It looks great! I'm seriously going back and forth right now on whether to save for a trip to Disney World next spring or just pay off our van so we can get a new truck for my husband.

haha.. decisions decisions.. just think ahead.. if his vehicle now goes out what would ya do.. especially if hes the income in the house ;)

Actually his truck that he has now doesn't run all that well. Since I'm a stay at home mom and Elliott's not in school yet, it's not really a big deal, though, for him to drive the van all the time. If his truck isn't running well by next summer (he's leaving on deployment in less than 2 months, so he doesn't have much time this year to work on it), we're getting a "new" car or truck, but it will probably be about 10 years old, unless I decide to work hard at paying off the van between now and then. Since a trip to Disney world will be significantly less than a new truck, there will be plenty left to pay for an older one. :)
