Just a week ago, the news broke that Erin Andrews, current Dancing With The Stars contestant, was receiving death threats from a man in Virginia. He had been emailing sports talk show, The Dan Patrick Show, about the sports announcer, and now we see just how dark those threats really were.
One of the emails from March 29th clearly threatened the woman's life. The text of the email is as follows: "I would like to see if Erin Andrews can dance her way through a hail of gunfire. Better yet I would love to shoot her with a Barrett rifle."
The man has apparently been threatening Erin by email since September. His name is Barrett as well, so you can see the pun in his violent statement. It can be taken very much in two ways, but one would end up with her dead. The FBI has looked into the threats, but no arrests have been made because the man is using his right to free speech.
The woman has not let the threats stop her from dancing or living her life. She is reportedly in a new romance with her professional dance partner, Maksim. She is currently preparing for performing on week 4. She will take to the Dancing With The Stars stage on Monday night.
What do you think of her situation? Would you continue on performing with these threats looming over you?
