All eyes were on Tiger Woods for the first day of competition at the 2010 Masters Golf Tournament at Augusta, and he didn't disappoint as many predicted (including yours truly). Shooting a very consistent 4 under par for the day; he had 2 birdies and an eagle on the front nine, and a birdie and eagle on the back nine. In fact he only had 4 bogeys on the entire day, which is very very impressive for someone that hasn't competitively golfed in over 5 months. Tiger currently sits tied for 7th place and just imagine if he hadn't taken that little break. What was that for again? By the end of the tournament we may just all forget about the atrocities that were committed. He is a superstar, plain and simple.

However, Tiger wasn't the story of the day. 50 year old Fred Couples, a Seattle native, is in the lead at 6 under after shooting an astonishing 66 on the first day. Seattlelites absolutely love Freddie and are hopefully all tuning in on Day 2 to root him on. Oh, he just shot a birdie on hole number 2. Time to bid you all adeu and get back to watching online. You can watch all the action at http://www.masters.com/en_US/index.html.
Tiger Woods tee's off at 10:35 AM ET (7:35 PST). I'll keep you updated on the scores after the days golf, but if you don't want to wait for me to tell you. Just check out the Master's Leaderboard for up to the minute scores.
