SIX Contests for Horse Lovers to Enter! Latest one ends July 2nd 2010

I found a several horse contests to enter so I thought I would share them here in Gather for those of us who may either know or be a horse lover.  For some of them you have to own a horse, for others, you don't.  Good luck!!

1]  Win a Model Horse Photo Contest, sponsored by Breyer

I found this contest in the most recent edition of Young Rider magazine on page 23.  There are six prizes to be won, Breyer "Fun with Model Horses" sets that include a model horse with halter, a travel pouch and a 16 page manual on how to get started with the model horse hobby.

To enter, send in your best photo of an original finish Breyer.  No halter is required.  The Young Rider issue offers an article with tips for photographing model horses to make your model horse look like the real thing.

Enter by sending in a 4 inch by 6 inch photo by snail mail or email.  Email pictures must be a minimum of 4" by 6" at 300 dpi.  If you send a photo, put name, age, address on the back of it.  Add name, age, address in the body of the email if you enter by email.  There are two divisions, 12 and under and 13 and over.  There will be three winners in each division.  Only one entry per person.  Contest ends July 1st, 2010.

2]  Win a Breyer model horse and have your horse pictured at ArabianHorse.org for an entire month.

Do you have an outstanding Arabian or Half-Arabian horse that you feel deserves extra special recognition? If so, enter him or her in the AHA "Horse of the Month" Contest!

To enter your horse in the Horse of the Month Contest, please mail the following to "AHA Horse of the Month", AHA Youth Department, 10805 E. Bethany Drive, Aurora, CO 80014:

• At least one photo of your horse
• A one to two paragraph essay about why your horse deserves to be "Horse of the Month".
