Who Was Kicked Off of American Idol Tonight? April 7th, American Idol 2010 Shocker, Recap and Spoilers!

Tonight was the results show for American Idol's Top 9.  Everyone wants to know, who got kicked off American Idol?

Well, it was supposed to be Michael Lynche.  Michael Lynche was actually the one who received the fewest number of votes but the judges used their save to keep him!  Simon Cowell said that the judges' decision was unanimous.

At the beginning of the show, Ryan Seacrest warned that the producers had told him  that it would be a shocking results show.  They were right! The other two contestants rounding out the bottom three were Aaron Kelly and Andrew Garcia. I was pretty surprised that neither Katie Stevens or Tim Urban were in the bottom three.  Although Katie's last performance, "Let it Be" was fantastic, I don't think she'll be around much longer.  Just my opinion, though!  No one can ever really tell with American Idol.....  Taylor Hicks, anyone?

Tonight's American Idol results show also featured three performances.  Jason Derulo gave us a great show with his hit "In My Head".  Former contestant, David Archuleta stopped by to perform "Imagine".  He played piano while he sang.  It was a very nice performance and it fit the theme of the week.  Rihanna performed "Rockstar 101" and was promoting an upcoming tour.  All in all, it was a great show!
