A six year old baby girl, Samantha Kuberski of McMinnville, Oregon hanged herself today. How a 6 year old would even know of such an act is beyond me. Samantha Kubreski was sent to her her room. She threatened to kill herself, but her parents thought nothing of it.
She went in the room, tied a belt arouond her neck and hanged herself. The parents are in disbelief and no charges have been filed. Who would think a child of six and in 2 days 7 years old, would have the wherewithal to hang herself?
Samantha Kuberski, 6, of McMinnville, Oregon has the dubious distinction of being the youngest person to commit suicide in the State of Oregon.
My deepest sympathies to the parents.
The state has declared it a suicide.

"The local McMinnville police department disagrees with the suicide ruling that was handed down by the medical examiner. Captain Dennis Marks of the McMinnville police department stated, "The disagreement is a little more philosophical than it is material to the case," further adding, "It's not that we disagree with the mechanics of what happened. It's the finding that a 6-year-old could form that kind of intent." http://www.kgw.com/news/Records-from-McMinnville-girls-death-still-secret-89769852.html
belts are short and a pain in the butt to tie on things leaving enough room to put a head in the loop, they generaly dont hold knots well, they dont hold a lot of weight, and I dont see a 6year old being able to do it.
I can understand a 6 year old wanting to kill them self, I can see one knowing about it. Im not sure most 6 year olds would understand that death is forever.
I think if she did kill her self she was in a lot of pain (mental and phyical delt out by her family) or she didnt understand what she was doing and what it ment.
But to be totally honest based on this artical id say the parents did it.
