The Blue Jays young slugger Adam Lind just inked a new 4 year contract with the club this week and has already started to show that he is worth every dollar.
Lind was batting in the number 3 spot in the order today as a DH and went 3 for 3 with a solor homerun in his first plate appearance this season. Lind had 3 hits and one walk, with one RBI to start 2010.
It is nice to see a young player start off the season in what looks like mid-season form and get some hits. Lind will likely be the DH in most games, though his natural position is left field when playing defense. His defense is not quite the same caliber as his offense, but perhaps in time it will be.
