Anna Paquin is Bisexual
Anna Paquin is bisexual? Seriously? Yup! And it isn't any April Fool's Day joke, either. Check out the video here.
True Blood star Anna Paquin came out as bisexual yesterday while filming a public service announcement for the True Colors Fund, the organization founded by Cyndi Lauper to raise money for gay rights. She says into the camera while recording her PSA: "I'm Anna Paquin. I'm bisexual, and I give a damn."
The 27-year-old actress won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in The Piano when she was just 11 years old (and I LOVE that movie). She's currently engaged to her True Blood costar, Stephen Moyer (a.k.a. Vampire Bill). And the long-awaited True Blood Season 3 returns to HBO on June 13th. Yay!
Other celebs taking part in the “Give a Damn†campaign include Cynthia Nixon, Whoopi Goldberg, Elton John, and Kim Kardashian. I respect them all for speaking out.

Yet, I give you your faith and use your bible to to remind you that allegedly, god created all mankind in his image. And, if god is love, and loves all of his creations, then how can you deny that love and image to any of his creations? How conceited and narcissistic of you to decide for God.
Not sure what all that ranting and hating on the Bible was all about but...Ok...
Sounds like you are a little upset at something. Maybe you should go back to sleep and wake up on the other side of the bed.
Based on a narrow view of one passage, you want me to believe that God created some people as homosexuals and then damned them simultaneously? I'm sorry, but who wants to follow that kind of god?
God and I are tight. He is a loving god who's love is far too big for one sentence or one group's bigotry or even one faith. All he asks for in return is that I do my very best to model his love in my family, community, friend and stranger.
You are absolutely correct, Scott Wahlstrom... the Bible DOES, indeed, say exactly that!
However, thanks to my quality Christian education, I know that some scriptures --like what you posted-- serve to inform us of all that God would have His believers know & understand (about His nature, inheriting His kingdom, etc...). And, other scriptures --like what Melissa Richardson posted-- specifically inform us believers as to how we are to behave in, & best navigate, this world for the time we are in it.
My advice to you?: 'take your own advice' and use better caution than to counter instructive scripture with informative scripture, since little else clutters and confuses a conversation so quickly.
Poster, SCOTT WAHLSTROM, is the one who told you to 'be careful when you quote the Bible' - I simply "quoted" SCOTT WAHLSTROMS post (see the whole [quote] thing?) for clear reference, informed SCOTT WAHLSTROM of the difference between scripture that informs & scripture that instructs, and suggested to SCOTT WAHLSTROM that he follow his own advice to use more caution when quoting the Bible, since countering instructive scripture with informative scripture is as relevant & productive as debating apples and oranges.
I was actually defending the whole idea of leaving the judgements to God, loving one's neighbor as one's self and doing unto others what we would have them do toward us... but, whatever ;0)
Yeah... that's what I thought. ;0)
Why? Because too many people jump at any chance to hate and often use God as their primary excuse for doing so... when, really, God is a reason to love and nothing else.
I am a Christian and I'll tell you what I believe. I believe there are so many issues we need to focus on to help one another live longer and better lives in the absence of hate, greed, persecution and apathy; then to be worrying who you, Anna or anyone kissed goodnight.
Goodnight.
Simply, judgement and vegeance are the realm of God. Loving God AND Loving One Another is what we're suppose to be doing.
Hear, hear!
But of course you are entitled to your opinion and you will never hear me saying, "Enough of the Chris Stone talk, he's getting old and he speaks words that conjure different imagery that, forbid, we shouldn't be open to"....
No, Chris, I will not say such things. If I feel there is too much "talk of Chris", I'll just not spend my own time creating the longest comment on a post to declare it.
Gonna leave this open-ended with. How about we talk about the benefits of having homosexual couples in a time when the world is becoming over-populated. Adoption agencies cant find homes for all of the children (especially if they aren't babies). I gave one example of the benefits of allowing homosexual relations maybe you all can throw a couple more. Lets leave the bible out of it now though....ok.
Yes, that was an extraordinary movie.
