There’s insurance for everything these days: homes, pets, cars, life, limbs and probably liberty. Obviously you don’t want to be taking out insurance on everything that can be insured, but it does pay to consider what types of insurance would actually be good for you to take out, not just to ignore the whole issue out-of-hand.
One type of insurance that’s often overlooked is sports insurance. I've stubmled across an article that primarily covers the aspects of sports insurance such as cost of loss or damage to equipment or to provide cover against any injuries that may be a result of engaging in sport. If you play a lot of sport, this might be one type of insurance that you should consider, particularly if any portion of your livelihood depends on it. Not only does it cover your equipment or injury but it may also cover you for damaging someone else’s equipment or even injuring them if you are liable to pay.
I wasn’t aware of any of this until I read this article which also has an excellent list of sports insurance providers in the UK should you decide to look into it further.
