It's the end of an era. Or at least of the four-season run for a tween sitcom. The Disney Channel has announced that the fourth and final season of Hannah Montana -- the show that introduced Miley Cyrus into all our lives, for good or ill -- will begin airing in July.
Entitled Hannah Montana Forever, finds Cyrus' character Miley Stewart wondering whether she can continue with her double life as singing sensation Hannah Montana, or leave it all behind for a more ordinary existence.
The final episode will air in the spring of 2011, with what Cyrus has termed "a really respectful ending," after which time it's hoped the world will continue turning.
Guest stars will include singer Sheryl Crow and Ray Liotta. Cyrus' father, Billy Ray Cyrus, will continue in his role as Stewart's father, Robbie Stewart.
Seventeen-year-old Cyrus is hoping to move on to a film career, whose biggest test will come with the April 2 opening of The Last Song.
