The former "90210" and "Charmed" star told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show this morning that she is "nervous and freaking out" about Monday's premiere of season 10. Her physical symptoms are even more brutal. "I break out in hives," she said. "My stomach is a mess. I'm like, 'I can't, I can't, I can't.'"
Doherty, 38, is paired up with two-time champion Mark Ballas, which should ease the burden a bit. But she knows the field is competitive this season. "Nicole [Scherzinger] is amazing. Not only is she really, really nice, but she's a dancer," she said. "Evan [Lysacek], being an ice skater, I think he's going to do fantastic. And I think Pam [Anderson] is just going to be sexy, sexy, sexy, and so much fun to watch."
Doherty whose father suffered a stroke on Christmas, is an inspiration to her. "It's kind of a negotiating tool, he's going to go in there and work really hard on regaining his speech and his mobility. And I'm going to get over my fear of a live audience."
Her next quest is to figure out why she is gaining weight when most contestants say they are losing it. "Everyone says it's muscle. I don't see it," she says with a laugh. "I eat so much now, it's insane."
"Dancing With the Stars" airs Monday (8 p.m. EST) on ABC.
