I had two items that I no longer had a use for, so I was selling them on an auction site at an inexpensive price. I wrote about it on here to let people in select groups (groups that were appropriate to the types of items being offered) know that I was getting rid of these things, in case they could be of some use to someone. I wasn't trying to make a bunch of money off of the items, that's why I had each of them with bids starting at just 99 cents. I just figured someone who wanted to try the items could do so without having to spend a bunch of money, rather than me just throwing the items away. Within less than 30 minutes of writing about these two items, my listings were pulled from the auction site because someone reported them as being counterfeit.
These items were purchased by me, to be used by me. I didn't buy them in bulk with the intention of reselling. I didn't lie about what I was offering, and all the images were my own, taken of the exact items I was listing. I didn't purchase these things out of the trunk of some shady guy's car. I purchased these items directly from the company, have the original shipping materials, the original packaging, the bill of sale, and the proof of payment in my credit card records.
There are over 20 items on that same auction site that are offering the same/similar items, yet mine was the only one that was pulled. Why? It is so sad when people turn others in for things that they haven't even done wrong. Money's nice, but if the reason someone reported my items was just to eliminate some of the competition, that's despicable. Not to mention it doesn't show that the person has much faith in his/her business accumen if actions like that are deemed necessary.
If someone reported my items for any other reason, then I just don't get it. It is very hurtful to be accused of breaking the law, of being a counterfeiter, and, essentially, a liar. Those are all things that I am NOT, and it's not a good feeling to have someone I don't even know ruin my reputation as a seller and a human being.
Okay, I'm done venting now. Thanks for listening.

The person is probably selling the same thing you are but at a much higher price, therefor turning your item in. Silly yes!!
I would not doubt it though.....
