Happy first day of Spring. The vernal Equinox has arrived in the Northern Hemisphere. The word vernal Equinox means equal nights. The day is as long as the night at 12:32 pm Eastern Time.
With the arrival of Spring, brings heavy snowfall to the already winter storm weary South. Today in Oklahoma, instead of watching daffodils rise from the warming earth, we watch snow covered daffodils wilt under the weight of snow and ice.
High winds pounds the Southern plains on the first day of Spring.
Monday will bring the real first day of spring as many places will begin to dig out of the latest blizzard conditions to hit Oklahoma.
