Is marriage not sacred in Hollywood? Do celebrities think their marriage vows are just a script written for them? It seems like it so many times.
Over the years, there have been more divorces in Hollywood than anywhere else in the world; at least, documented ones. It seems that most celebrities’ marriages are celebrated at the beginning, only to be publicly broadcasted when problems arise and the end comes.
Take the latest scandal between Sandra Bullock and her husband Jesse James. It’s no secret now that Jesse James cheated on her. It’s all over the news and celebrity gossip. He has apologized, but will they stay together, or break up? Only time will tell.
What amazes me is how fast these scandals pop up. It was only about two weeks ago that Sandra shared her feelings about her husband with Barbara Walters about how wonderful he was, how much she loved him and how he made her life fulfilled. Later that night, she cried as she professed her love to him during her acceptance speech for the Best Actress award on the “Oscars.”
Now, here they are, almost two weeks later, and suddenly, we hear news that he cheated on her, that he’s sorry and that they may be breaking up. Talk about whiplash.
We have seen so marriages come and go in Hollywood between celebrities, and even celebrities married to non celebrities. It amazes me just how much some people seem to take marriage vows for granted.
On the other hand, how much of it is real, and how much of it is puffed up for the tabloids and celebrity gossip? My thoughts on the matter: It’s none of our business.
