Daily Whine & Shine - Friday, March 19 AND Weekend Chew & Stew - Saturday, March 20 & Sunday, March 21, 2009
by Marilyn Mackenzie

Â
Whether you agree with the concept or not, everyone needs to be able to vent from time to time. That's especially true if you're one of the many who suffer from an invisible illness. We have whines and rants about pains, medical professionals and prescriptions, just to name a few. Perhaps our families listen; perhaps they don't. Even if they do, they get tired of our complaining, even if they claim to understand our struggles. Or if they don't get tired of our "negative energy" we think they do or will.
Â
Do you need to rant about something? Tell it here!
Â
Do you have a celebration or victory to share? This is the place.
Â
What's happening in your world today? Are you grumpy about something? Or so angry you could spit? Tell it here. Here at the Daily Whine & Shine, it's acceptable to rant, vent, complain, stomp your feet, throw a tantrum, and shout, "Oh shuckie darn!"
Wait! Don't go away! Do you have some good news to share? Great. This is the place for that as well. If you're celebrating, dancing, and yelling, "Yippee Skippy!" please share. Sometimes knowing about someone else's happiness gives us a bit of hope for ourselves.
Whether you're shouting, "Oh shuckie darn!" or yelling, "Yippee skippy!"- this is the place to be. Pull up a rocking chair, and let's talk about it.
Â
Now, let's celebrate!!!

Also, my step-daughter and her friend will be here this weekend.
And, my son's birthday is on Monday, and since his step-sister will be here this weekend, it makes sense that we should do some celebrating on the weekend.
My whine for today is that sometime between the 11th and the 17th we lost the baby. :( By the 17th the Beta was only 1.0, to be a viable pregnancy it has to be at least 5. Ugh! We have been trying to get pregnant for a year now!
and that here I am here again and it's bedtime
but I did spend most of the afternoon sewing a quilt top
I see that commercial all the time for the prescription and the gal is just rubbing and rubbing her shoulders.
My mom has fibro and she's been telling me for months now that I am showing signs of it.
The past week or so, sitting in front of the computer for more than 10 minutes at a time my shoulders all the way across just burn. Would that be a symptom?
Michaela keeps throwing up - it doesn't seem like she eats too much, but maybe that is the problem because she is still getting her medicine. It seems that every time I feed her she throws up and last night she screamed and cried for at least an hour before something I gave her worked - I gave her her medicine, gripe water, and tylenol. I couldn't find the gas drops. She threw up twice before she was comfortable enough to sleep.
Shine: it is a beautiful sunny day here and the house is clean. I am making some bbq chicken and it smells so yummy - Just wish it would cook faster because now lunch is going to be late.
Would love to crawl into bed and just curl up with a good book, but won't happen today. Oh well, we are taking my MIL out for dinner tonight. She wasn't able to go yesterday, so we checked to see if she wanted to go tonight and she is feeling a bit better. We are probably going to check out Ruby Tuesdays. I really wish my hubby wasn't so stuck on the Maker's Diet for our family -I love Lobster and it looks like their menu has plenty! Otherwise the rest of the menu looks nice and it will be a nice change from Applebee's. I really would love to get dessert this time too, since they have some beautiful sounding items. I guess we will have to see. Poor Michaela is still throwing up so much. It is super frustrating as a mom to have her be so uncomfortable. I've changed her outfit 3x's since we've been home from church, twice for throwing up all over herself and me and once because her diaper blew out. :P I don't have any more warm tops and she doesn't either. I sure hope she doesn't have any big episodes while we are out.
