Grey's Anatomy spoilers: When is Izzy coming back?

For most of the season, Izzy Stevens has been an afterthought on Grey's Anatomy. She was one of the original four interns on the show along with Meredtih Grey, Christina Yang and Alex Karev.

Karev and Stevens got married while she had cancer, but she disappeared.

All Grey's fans want to know is when is Izzy coming back?

Well, according to EW's Ausiello (link here), the answer is she may be never coming back. We may have seen the last of Katherine Heigl. There is no secret that Heigl and the Grey's Anatomy brass (Shonda Rhimes) have had trouble over the years. She almost didn't come back after last season and almost died.

After taking most of the season off to create another movie and spend time with her adopted child, Heigl was set to return to the set of Grey's on March 1.

Only she didn't.

Now, Heigl hasn't been the most gracious employee. Despite Grey's and ABC gave her a platform to heighten her career, her comments throughout the years have seemed rather diva-ish.

While last season has not been one of my favorite seasons of Grey's Anatomy, this season has grown on me. There are a bit too many characters to track, but I've certainly enjoyed it more.

If Heigl never returns, I won't miss her. She was my favorite character in Season 1 and gradually lost interest to the point that I don't notice she is not on the show any longer.
