I knew this has been coming
For a long time up till now
Too many things we cherished
Seemed to fade off somehow.
Days left with too many wrongs
Love lingered without its tune
Tried ignoring so much
til missed our day in June.
Actions which we treasured
Seemed to grow old then rust
I could tell it no longer worked
We lost the best of us.
I could tell it was coming
days of not getting along.
That balance we once had
Obviously is now gone.
I have to wish you the best
Can’t keep this charade moving
No more joyous entanglements
Just lost of love and grooving.
Too many hateful emotions
Understanding lost along the way
Things have simply deteriorated
Till we are where it is today.
I tried my best to make it work
While you pretended all was well
Taking no steps to make it right
Letting it all go to hell.
So long, dear lady
Go find happiness elsewhere
I can no longer live like this
you acting like you don’t care.
