The Days After the Great Flood

Noah and his family were the only ones who survived the great flood. The children of Cain and the civilization they built had been destroyed. The descendents of Cain were brilliant people. One by the name of Jubal was a talented musician and other Tubal-Cain was the first to work with brass Despite their achievements they were wicked people.

The old  world was gone, but sin was still present.  After Noah’s family settled in a post flood world, he planted a vineyard, and made wine. Unaware that the wine fermented, he became drunk and was naked in his tent. (Some scholars state that there was no fermentation before the flood) Genesis 9:22 states that his youngest son Ham looked at his nakedness, and told his two brothers Shem and Japheth.  The two came to theirs father’s rescue and covered him.

When Noah recovered , he realized what his son had done, and put a curse on Ham’s son Canaan. Ham had dishonored his father, and his children would do the same for him. Afterwards, Noah blessed Shem and Japheth. In this period God honored the blessings and curses a father would place on his offspring.

After this incident Genesis 10 gives the table of nations. In Genesis 10:8  Nimrod the son of Noah’s grandson Cush became a “mighty hunter before the Lord.” This would be the man Satan would use to build the first world empire after the flood. This will be covered in the next post.

 In my post “The Days Before the Flood,“ one person asked me what did this all have to do with the Constitution Party. Well  this is one political party that supports the principles of our Founding Fathers, men who freed us from a world empire. They were also men who freed us from the tyranny of evil kings. This will come together in my next post, which will be titled “Nimrod and His World Empire.”
