Promptly at midnight, just as threatened, ABC pulled its programming from Cablevision's lineup. Just like Food Network and HGTV did, not too long ago. It took them about a week or more to settle that one. I wonder how long this will take, and will they start pulling the other channels they own next? So far, they've let us keep Disney Channel, ESPN, ESPN2, and ABC Family Channel. There are two sides to every story and I don't know which side is the greediest, but when all is said and done, it will come out of our pockets. The TV part of my cable bill is already $92.00/ month, and that's with no HBO or Showtime. It includes rent on 2 cable boxes and my DVR service. It's getting out of control. Maybe the TV channels could trim their budgets a little by paying their actors a little less. Or giving their executives smaller bonuses, maybe?
I'd switch to another provider, but for another $30.00/month, Cablevision provides my phone service, and I paid $40.00 a little over a year ago for them to buy the phone number I've had for the last 32 years, so I could keep it. The last time I looked into it, I would lose my number if I switched. Grrrr
