~We got a Wii!! lol

Hi all!  Just wanted to take a few moments to say hi and show you our new family Wii that we got!!  We are having so much fun with it, and since it is in the living room, it keeps us all together after dinner!!  This sytem is really like no other gaming system.  It keeps you at least partially moving at all times which I love!  I am glad to see my son not sitting down while he is playing games.  And the best part is, if you get a sports game, or exercise game....it keeps almost you entire body move through the whole game.  It has even made me to loose a pound so far since buying it!!  (I actually break a sweat using the EA Active exercise program when I never broke a sweat the whole 5 months I went to the gym)  I am personally thrilled with this purchase and look so forward to getting more active games or exercises on the Wii!!  Enjoy the pictures I took!!!

That's really great! You know, I've had one for over a year and still haven't used it.....LOL!!!! Our son has played it a lot, and he loves it.......he especially likes the boxing game....I really DO need to get busy and use it, but I need to get the living room decluttered first, as there's not a whole lot of room!

LOL, if you ever get around to playing it I think you will enjoy it. I have been decluttering my living room as well Since we have bought some new furniture and it arrives on Tuesday. But that is another post. LOL

I love the Wii sports games, I use it to play tennis when it's freezing outside. I also love the Indy game. Good choices! Hope you continue to enjoy it, i've really enjoyed some of the yoga programs. Sometimes you can find Wii games on the $5 rack(or bin, whatever your store does) at Walmart. Even if you only play it once, it's still cheaper than renting it.

I did not see the cheap rack, I will have to look next time I go to Wal-Mart. I like the tennis one as well.

My son adores it and it keeps him with our family longer in the evening because it is in the living room with a rule to keep it there.

It is a great idea that you put it in the livingroom. We used to have it in the livingroom but my son moved it to his room. It is his. I would love for it to move back to the living room so that I can do Wii Active. I play it with him sometimes - we've done the Wii Music, Wii Sports - I love that you aren't sitting still. He normally plays his XBox 360 but once in awhile I see him in his room playing the Wii. I'd rather he play it.

Yes, it was our one main rule to getting one. That the Wii never leaves the living room. This way we all get a chance and it lets us continue to connect with our son as he becomes more of a teen and less of a pre-teen. lol

I have always like nintendo more than other systems. I've had my wii for a year now. Three most active games I have are wii fit, star wars the clone wars, and Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. On gamecube I would play for hours with a star wars game on it, on the wii, the clone wars wore me out after 30 minutes. Very active light saber duels. There is no sitting in Indiana jones. Have to get up and knock those bad guys around. Right now it is a living room device and me, my wife, and my mom try to arrange our time to do wii fit together.

I love playing all the different active games on the Wii. You are right, that Star Wars game can kick your butt fast! LOL It makes you work up a sweat and I love that!

I love all the games that make you have to move a lot. It is really making me work-out and I love that! I do like the Nintendo Wii so much better right now than any other system because you have to move around and you do not just sit there. My son has been more active here lately because of the Wii. Star Wars totally kicks your butt hard, that is for sure! Agreed completely!!

I got one for the family Christmas past. The kids love it and I try to steal time when I can. I love the bowling and some of the other sports games. I also got wii fit which is great when I can find the time.

my daughter just purchased a Wii fit...she lives out of town (about 20 minutes from here) and she is suppose to come over several days a week so hopefully we can use it and become "fit"...lol ..I hope you continue enjoying your Wii

Congrats. I bought mine not long after they first came out and were extremely hard to find. Now slowly adding new games. Have fun. We do when we have the chance to play.
