Most people know one thing about The Women's United States Ski team, and that's that a pretty girl named Lindsey Vonn skis with them. This isn't Vonn's fault. She is a tremendous skiier, she's pretty, and for some reason the media has directed all of their attention to her.
It's no wonder why Julia Mancuso feels that her and the rest of team are playing second fiddle to Vonn. But that isn't what the media is reporting. Instead of talking about how Vonn's popularity is effecting the team, they are talking about how the team's lack of popularity is effecting Vonn.
"Vonn is bummed out by rivals comment." "Mancuso takes jab at Vonn." "Mancuso stabs Vonn." Ok, so noone reported that last statement, but you get the point.
Is Mancuso really the bad guy here? Is Vonn? Is the media doing everything they can to make the Winter Olympics interesting?
