Last night my wife and I along with some friends saw the movie "Shutter Island"

im not really sure where i stand on it nearly 24 hours later. I did enjoy it. but there was just something missing, or off about it.

The acting in my opinion was great, everyone played who they were supposed to with a great degree of accuracy. The artistic aspects of the film were very nicely done and captivating. my attention was always on the movie. however, as i said before it was like there was something just a little off at the end. the ending is left somewhat open to interpretation, which i tend to like if its done well. and it was.

all in all, it is a good movie, Leonardo DiCaprio plays yet another amazing role in this one. it was just like they tried to hard or something...im still not sure.

 

i would suggest it to anyone that enjoys movies. and tell me what you think about it, maybe i was just having a strange night.

I really want to see this but I don't like endings that leave you hanging. I hope to read more reviews before I go.

it does and it doesnt leave you hanging, its more they give you an ending but give you something that you can chose to believe or not. its not a big dramatic thing

It looks freaky to me..was this a book before a film? All I have seen are some trailers...

I enjoy movies with Leonardo DiCaprio. I remember him....oh my goodness he was so young...in that series with Kirk Cameron.

I have been wanting to see this one and my son said that he really liked it... I must remember to ask him about the ending too!

I didn't like the end at all....and it surely was not what I was expecting the end to be...just didn't seem right.

i love/hated it. it all depends on how you took it i guess. all in all though...if you are going to see one DiCaprio movie these days. Inception is the way to go!
