Shaun Whites quest for gold began in 2006 when he won the half pipe competition at the Turin Olympics. But it all began less than a year ago when White really began to shake things up. Tricks had not advanced and White was growing tired of it, so he pushed his mind and body.Bud Keene, White's coach and assistant for the United State Olympics half-pipe team reported that Shaun had a lot of new ideas, pushing the sport into the future.
Wednesday night Shaun white triumphed with trick that could seem unimaginable, already assured gold with the completion of his first run with a score of 46.8 out of 50! White said "I can't even begin to tell you or describe how many times I've gone over this run in my mind, gone over this competition in my head, imagined what it would be like."
