I am not sure what to think of this phone call .

I got a phone call this evening that I have been picked to win a new Lincon car. I asked the woman what do I have to do to get this and how did I win it? I don't remember and contest that I was in or anything. I might call it back again tommorrow to understand what this is all about. I just seems really strange to me is all. Although it would be nice to win a new car.I still feel like there is something I will have to pay for it.

I had something similar once - not sure if it is the same thing. What happened is i "was" entered but then they basically sold all of my info to other companies that wanted me to buy time shares. They'd give me a free trip to such and such place but I had to watch their Power Point on time shares. I said thanks but no thanks.

I don't blame you a bit. I feel like it is something they are trying to sell me myself or something . It sounded to good to be true.

It sounds kind of funny to me. I'm usually cautious of something that's too good to be true. I HATE when companies sell my info to other companies. Our phone company is guilty of this. We get some telemarketing calls and I know the phone company sold our info. because no one else has our home phone number - not even our families because we don't use the land line for anything other than we need it for the internet.

That sounds about right some company sold my name to some scam artist. I about hate my phone from all of the billing people calling.

And if you do win it you'll have taxes and license and all these fees. But I doubt it's a real contest.

Yeah I was thinking that also taxes. I can't afford that I have a hard enough time getting by on what I do have.

Do you remember her giving you a company name that you could Google? I think you are right to be skeptical. But as a child, I did know a woman who won a pink Cadillac back in the 50's. Oh, it was a very big deal. Convertible no less. Gasoline was 7 cents a gallon.

I won a car once, too, but it was through a local radio station and I knew I had entered the contest.

If you don't remember entering any type of contest for this, I'd disregard the phone call. They could be trying to get your personal information.

Something similar happened to me only it was a cadillac...however, they wanted me to send them $400 first at which point they were told to deliver the cadillac and I would hand them a check for the $400. Never heard from them again...Scammers! Get ur phone number added to the donotcall.gov site.

This sounds like the same thing. A rip off yeah I% need to do that I had it on that last year but I forget to add it this year. I agree they are scammers.

That happened with my parents, but it was a year's worth of free gas. They had to go watch a presentation and all that jazz.

Yeah i remember my parents won a free trip one time but they entered a contest to but they had to go through a presentation to get it. She said I had to go somewhere to recive it. I am sure I would have to pay taxes what I get every month there is no way I can afford it.

Yeah I put a call block or donotcall.gov site on my phone. I figured it was a scam to start off with.It makes me sick what these scam people do to get money out of people.
