Scared

I spent the afternoon with my mother-in-law. She recently moved here from up north. It is so nice to have family near by again. She gave me some bad news though. She said they have found a lesion on one of her lungs. She went in to have a scan done on Wednesday. She is very afraid it is cancer. I am so scared now! I took her to see a movie to take her mind off of everything, but I could tell she was thinking about it the whole time. At one point, her eyes filled up with tears. I don't really know what to say to her. I just told her that I am here for her if she needs anything. She is anxiously awaiting a call from her doctor to tell her the results of the scan. If you could offer a little prayer for her, I would appreciate it!

I hope the doctors come up with a treatment that works and she gets well soon !!!

Oh, Holly, I'm so sorry to hear this..........it must be a very scary time for you and her, and yes, I can imagine, all the thoughts of all sorts of things going through her mind right now.......know that you and she are in my prayers..........that it won't be cancer and something minor. I guess the best thing is just to be there for her, let her lead the conversations and be a good listener.
Please keep us posted on what you find out.
