Bill Clinton is hospitalized at Presbyterian Hospital in New York after having chest pain discomfort. After being examined by doctors at Presbyterian, the former President of the U.S. had 2 stents placed in his coronary artery in order to better support the artery. A stent is man-made tube which was inserted into Clinton’s coronary artery to prevent a localized constriction of blood flow. Back in 2004, President Clinton had an emergency heart bypass surgery at Columbia Presbyterian in New York. Clinton has a long-standing history of high cholesterol as well as high blood pressure. Heart disease also runs in President Bill Clinton’s family line.
