It's an interesting take on things though; and part of me has to respect the guts it takes to do that.Â I'm assuming this guy will get lots of publicity, maybe write a book soon, and appear on Oprah.

He'll get rich from all that stuff, and then have to give all his money away all over again :)Â Life's a trip...E

On ABC Diane Sawyer's evening news, they had the story of a teen girl who persuaded her parents to get onboard selling their substantial house in a good neighborhood, buying a more modest home and using the remainder of the proceeds as a charitable donation to build medical and educational facilities in Ghana. That's impressive to me, putting your values to work in a socially active way. Kudos to this great family!!

I hear that.

So much of this economy is based on selling people things they don't need.

I mean, if people only brought what they genuinely needed and the few things they want because they GENUINELY enjoy them in and of themselves, we would do away with what, 80% of things which are sold?

95%?

And people would probably be happier also, because seeking happiness in materialism may give you some pleasure (temporarily), but it doesn't tend to being, genuine, long-lasting ENJOYMENT.

People might feel this millionaire is crazy, and who knows, maybe he is.

But his smile was ear to ear... :)
