normal, adjective
1 conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected
I taught gifted seventh graders. During the first fifteen minutes of class each year, I told them, "You are not normal." They gasped, and then I explained, and we listed the benefits of being gifted. One of the first suggested was always. "More money!" Of course, that night they told their parents that I said they were not normal.
In short, for me normal means dull, boring.
Once a friend was asked by someone wanting to date me, "What is Leo like?' My friend answered, "Leo is a great guy, but he is quite eccentric." What a compliment!
Thank you, Lord, for not making me normal!

I don't think that there's anything worse than being ordinary

Cookie cut out people living cookie cut out lives in cookie cut out houses in cookie cut out communities are BORING. They think they are "normal" but what is normal? I always think of nominal when I hear the word "normal" anyway. Who are these people," They", who decide what is normal? They say... They think... "They" this, and they that...and they decide what is "normal"???
Then there is abnormal.... and it sounds even worse...
Course we could mix it up, what is normal for you might not be normal for me.... and vice versa.
And when one of these "normal" people do horrible things "they" say, "Gee, he seemed like a "normal" guy to me...." Ah, you have to watch out for those "normal" people...
