If you were not watching TV last night you are in the minority; the Super Bowl 2010 was on, New Orleans Saints versus Indianapolis Colts, and not only is it fun to watch top athletes perform at the highest level of football competition, but amid the time outs and quarters the commercials bring the best and funniest characters we have seen all year. A 30 second time slot for a commercial during the Super Bowl is approximately 2.7 million dollars; these companies are spending a ton of money in the hopes that viewes see their ads and buy, buy, buy their products.
Many of the commercials I found to be pretty dumb and geared towards a male audience, and despite the heavily talked about Doritos commercials for the Super Bowl, there were really only three Super Bowl commercials that jumped out at me. Like the Audi 2010 Green Car with the Green Police commercial. I thought it was very clever, had a strong point of view, and made me desire the new Audi A3 TDI. Watch the commercial and see for yourself...
It must have been a car dealer year because the car commercials seemed to be the most creative and humorous. Like Audi, the Huyndai Super Bowl commercial with Bret Favre made me laugh out loud...it is nice to see that he can make fun of himself.
Thirdly is the Snickers commercial with Betty White, really funny.
