Because of Hurricaine Katrina, many including President Obama are rooting for the New Orleans Saints leaving the Colts in the role of villian. Dallas Clark says, "The city has been through a lot. They are playing a lot more for their city, I'm sure they feel." Saints fans chant, "Who Dat Say Dey Gonna Beat Them Saints?"
The Saints are playing on sympathies that even the President uses. So the Colts are the "bad guys" if they make New Orleas a sad city sad by beating the Saints and saying “We dat Colts gonna beat them Saints.”
According to Sedrick Ellis, "People have gone through so much and still have gumption and pride." Cheer for the Colts? That's like wanting Snow White to die, Cinderella to miss out on her prince or a big bad wolf to gobble down Little Red Riding Hood.”
So the Saints are painted as the princess in the fairytale, and they have the advantage of being closer to Miami, so the Saints fans outnumber the Colts fans by 3 to 1. That’s enough for me to root for the Colts. May the best team win, but I’m going for the emotional underdog, the Indianapolis Colts, with Manning as the Man.
The Colts are the villians? No, it’s a Superbowl, and the winner will be determined by the score, and I wish the best to team to win. Go Colts!
According to the Gazette, the Colts are favored to win, so that makes the Saints an underdog.

The Saints, that is the FOOTBALL TEAM, has earned the right to play in the Super Bowl. It is the TEAM I will be rooting for, not the city. Let's give credit where credit is due.
