Movie Review: The Wrestler

The Wrestler, starring Mickey Rourke, was nominated for a few Oscars last year, including best actor. It's a sad tale of an aging WWF-style wrestler with no family and no career to speak of. Marisa Tomei has a great role as a stripper with whom Mickey Rourke's character would like to have a relationship. But, life continues to fall apart for the wrestler as he contemplates his retirement. Kind of a downer, but well acted.

Nice short review! That was a movie I really didn't think I would like, but it ended up being really good.

I did not like this movie. It's on one of the higher cable channels now. I tried to watch it. Good review.
