NBC Black History Month Menu Fried Chicken

NBC black history month menu contains fried chicken, collard greens, smoked turkey, black eyed peas and jalapeno cornbread. The menu was designed to honor black history month but ended up sparking much controversy. NBC has since removed the menu from the cafeteria and apologized for offending anyone. The chef who decided on the menu is Chef Leslie Calhoun. The chef is black herself and doesn’t understand the controversy.

now I know why Mom used to get the funny look on her face when she served up fried chicken and watermelon -- we thought we were white, but Dad had a black grandfather

I would love to have that meal. I don't understand the problem. Black owned and operated restaurants everywhere serve these foods. Where else can one get good collard greens?
