Who would ever have guessed that Frances Bean Cobain, offspring of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, had an interest in singing? Well, apparently she does, as she'll make her singing debut on an upcoming album by nascent supergroup Evelyn Evelyn.
According to website TwentyFourBit, the 17-year-old will add her vocals to "an anthemic '80s power ballad entitled 'My Space'," alongside My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way, Andrew WK, Tegan & Sara, and, yup, Weird Al Yankovic.
Evelyn Evelyn is the brainchild of Amanda Palmer, frontwoman of punk cabaret act Dresden Dolls, and punk/folk singer Jason Webley. Also on hand for "My Space" is Palmer's fiancé, writer Neil Gaiman, of Coraline and The Sandman fame; former Hold Steady keyboardist Franz Nicolay; and comedians Margaret Cho and Eugene Mirman.
And you thought the lineup for the new version of "We Are the World" was odd.
Evelyn Evelyn's self-titled album, featuring the song, is due out March 30.
