Sen. Brown has renewed my hope. I am praying he will retain the down to earth part of him and not fall prey to the black hole called DC.
No wonder this country is in the mess it is in.
I kinda don't think Scott Brown had a thing to do with the mess we're in.
I think he's the guy following behind the mess maker, with the pooper scooper, and he's gonna be busy picking up crap at least until November.
Having met the man I thank God he is not a movie star. He is the salt of the earth type guy and I am THRILLED to have worked for him.
I hate to say it but, you will be saying how wrong your judgement was one year from now. You say you hope he doesn't lose that down home charm yet, what if he wants you to lose some of your freedoms and rights ?
You folks really make me laugh, you hoot and holler for our President to lose by a Jr Senator with very little experience and a good smile.
When will Americans grow up and think about issues beyond their own individual comfort? We need National Policies, not fractured neighborhood policies. Stingy ill-informed people, ME ME ME people
Look where he is now...
Good question, Howie! :0)
lol!
Kerry: Kirk closed his office on Monday.
Kirk: Not leaving until security hauls me out.
I have to wonder, how many REPUBLICANS simply held their nose when voting ?
Scott Brown's positions:

"Voted NO on Defeating corporate tax disclosure."
"Voted YES on Extending corporate tax credit 5 years."
"Implement the death penalty in Massachusetts"
"Voted NO on earmark for women's substance abuse program"

"Opposed federal school breakfast supplement"

"No affirmative action in public employment nor contracting"
"Maintain Bush tax cuts after 2010"
"Voted NO on emerging technologies, math & science Fund"
"Voted NO on allowing parents on welfare to attend school"
Scott Brown is a Hard-Core Conservative, the candidate scored the following on the VoteMatch questions:
Personal Score 13%
Personal Score
This measures how much the candidate believes government should intervene in people's personal lives. Personal issues include health, morality, love, recreation, prayer and other activities that are not measured in dollars.
A high score (above 60%) means the candidate believes in tolerance for different people and lifestyles.
A low score (below 40%) means the candidate believes that standards of morality & safety should be enforced by government.
You folks really picked a winner !

Gee, this guy is really a representative of THE PEOPLE, rich white people.
"No new regulation of the financial markets"
"No cap on bankers' salaries"
"Voted NO on Defeating corporate tax disclosure."

I'm curious SUE, were the voting public mad aware of these stances before the election?
Yes they did know this.
Here is what you are missing, he L I S T E N S to his constituancy. He has voted for everything the MAJORITY of his constituancy has wanted. GET IT?
Did you know that 95% of those bills you have posted has tax hikes attached that would have destroyed the economy of MA? The other 5% would have cut Health & Human Services funding or other public services (Like plowing, Fire and Police.)
He won on his record of FISCAL CONSERVATISM. Does the term "deficit in the trillions" mean anything to you Richard?
Something else you should know: over 60% of MA residents are Roman Catholic and Pro-Choice. Cardinal Law had a dickens of a time stopping the Pope from excommunicating the whole state!
I grew up in MA. Only have been in NH for 23 yrs. Of the 4 siblings in my family, my 2 sisters are Dems/pro-lifers while my brother and I are Repubs/pro-choicers.
If you think far right for either Brown or myself, then you miss the whole point and there is no answer that will ever reach your brain and turn the light on.
I want a balanced budget in DC. I want government out of my personal life. I want the focus to be inviting corporations back to this country and getting our people back to work. Sen. Brown wants the same.
Scott Brown's Personal Score 13%, A low score (below 40%) means the candidate believes that standards of morality & safety should be enforced by government.
Which part of your life is left for the government to get out of once we eliminate "standards of morality & safety" ?
Sen. Brown obviously doesn'twants the same for you.
"I want a balanced budget in DC. "
And you believe this should be accomplished bu eliminating disability & mentoring aid, blind job program, mental disability programs, women's substance abuse program, federal school breakfast supplement, NO on early retirement for MWRA-work-related cancer or allowing parents on welfare to attend school ?
Scott Brown's Personal Score 13%, A low score (below 40%) means the candidate believes that standards of morality & safety should be enforced by government.
1) Using VoteMatch is interesting. Scott Brown has voted on over 6000 bills, yet they cherry picked the bills that were the most emotional and ignored the facts of the impact these bills would have on the MA economy.
Nice try. After reviewing VoteMatch there no way I would ever use them as a factual source in any of my research. BTW, one of the contracts I do is Law Research. I could site sources not available to you, but then I don't think you have the $$$ to afford them. The least expensive is $99/month. So I do not site anything here that can't be researched for free.
Which part of your life is left for the government to get out of once we eliminate "standards of morality & safety" ?
Sen. Brown obviously doesn'twants the same for you.
2) The Health Care bill in it's present form. Cap & Trade in it's present form. Incentives that bring businesses back into the US instead of forcing those businesses overseas or over the border.
And you believe this should be accomplished bu eliminating disability & mentoring aid, blind job program, mental disability programs, women's substance abuse program, federal school breakfast supplement, NO on early retirement for MWRA-work-related cancer or allowing parents on welfare to attend school ?
Why spend tax payers' money to create duplicate programing
http://www.mass.gov/?pageID=eohhs2modulechunk&L=4&L0=Home&L1=Government&L2=Departments+and+Divisions&L3=Department+of+Developmental+Services&sid=Eeohhs2&b=terminalcontent&f=dmr_c_resources_individualfamilyassistance&csid=Eeohhs2
Blind Jobs Programming would also be duplicate services using tax payers' money to fund both with no expansion for the service. See:
http://www.massresources.org/pages.cfm?ContentID=74&pageID=28&Subpages='yes'
MA Health & Human services offers all these programs including list of providers. So I would suggest you do some research and not simply spout off what you would like to believe.
federal school breakfast supplement
He voted to uphold Gov. Romney's veto of the state contribution to the program. Again the Tax Payers' $$$ could be used better by decreasing duplicate programs.
John Loughlin is running against Patrick Kennedy in RI, and has decided to call in and do Q & A's on Howie Carr too. LOL I think Howie's show is going to be one Town Hall after another in the near future!
