Yesterday, JM posted a beautiful poem, ~~~~Flight~~~~and in a comment I posted the following:
"Every night when it is clear
Regardless of the weather
I stand outside on the porch
And gaze upon the Hunter.
Betelgeuse and Bellatrix
Shoulders oh so strong
Who would believe a scorpion
Could do you such harm.
No radiation or chemotherapy
No wires or beeping machines
For you were always a spirit
And now you are flying free.
Once, long ago, I had a son who loved Greek and Roman mythology as well as astronomy. We spent hours laying on the bathroom floor in the dark with his "plastic Star Gazer" identifying the constellations. He was particularly fond of Orion. Somehow, when I read your poem tonight I thought about Aaron being guided into eternity by such a beacon."

Several weeks ago, Magi and I were talking about poetry on skype and he said, "Poetry, Bob is the language of the soul, it's one soul talking with another soul." How perceptive he is.....it was as if reading Michelle's poem, her soul was talking to my own.
You see, the day before she published "Flight", she wrote about another mythical goddess, "~Artemis~" which I read several times as well as the comment strand down below. Over the course of the evening, I would make my way back and read it once more. How could I respond? Should I tell her about a little boy who had so many questions about the nature of Artemis? Or just the fact, he liked her silver bow and arrow. In the end, I wrote no comment.
Then last night, "Flight" was published and when I finished reading, I immediately start typing my response...the words just came. As Magi says "it's one soul talking with another".

Maybe all souls, past, present and future are connected - yes, that is possible. Isn't there a new theory about time?.
I'm so glad you posted this separately and with background. It shines and is now featured on Poet's Weekly Muse.
Thanks, Jan, for the feature in Poet's Weekly Muse.
Don't ever say again, Bob, that you're not a poet! Never!
Excellent!
I am thrilled that you decided to post this.
I enjoyed the comments as much as I did your poetry.
Love and hugs - S.
