Every summer vacation, we make a stop (or two) in Tillamook, Oregon. First for the Tillamook Cheese Factory and the other for the Tillamook Air Museum that houses World War II aircraft and memorabilia. I remember going there as a child with my family and now I get to enjoy it with my children.
The kids always have a blast exploring the several aircrafts that are actually "hands on" throughout the Tillamook Air Museum. (I've posted a few individual photos of them as well, http://www.gather.com/viewAlbum.action?albumId=20567) It's also very education and interesting. Even though we have been there several times, it seems we learn something new each visit!
We spend atleast an hour here each and everytime we stop. They also have a movie you can watch, a 50's style cafe and of course a gift shop!
